Monday Musings

1.  I had a great weekend and was definitely not ready for it to be over.  We ate out.  I got to catch up with some of my old friends that I used to teach with, we went and saw To Kill a Mockingbird at the Arkansas Repertory Theater.  It was amazing and made me cry.  I can see how things have changed in our country through the years, but also how some things remain the same.  It was such a great play, though.

2.  Today I went and bought some new furniture which I will tell you about later.  This was the first big purchase I have made all by myself.  In the past, I have always made purchases like this with either hubby or my mom.  I was a big girl and went and did it all by myself, not by choice but out of necessity.  Hubby and I had picked it out together and it was on sale this week.  We were afraid to wait until the weekend in case they were sold out.

3.  It has been too long since I have gone for a run, so that is the first thing I need to do when I get home from school tomorrow.  I am really trying to get in better shaper and the longer I go between runs the harder it is to get started again.

4  I have found two great giveaways you may be interested in.  The first one is over at Marriage Confessions.  It is for a $100 gift card to Olive Garden.  I know I would get a lot of enjoyment out of that one.  You should definitely head over there and check it out.  The second one is over at My Little Life.  If is for a $50 Visa gift card.  It's definitely worth checking out, too.

I'm done musing for today.  I hope everyone had a great Monday!

  1. Sounds like a lovely weekend, and a good start to a new week! I had a productive day, for me! :) I got Christian to school, and then came back and went for a walk with the girls!! It's a start! And I have been trying to put my laundry away as it is done. Rather than six loads at a time! haha Can't wait to hear about your purchase...it sounds fun!
P.S. The things that I say are often inspired by the amazing words/insights of someone else...in the case of Sunday, it was Charlie! That was a really good sermon. He always has a good one. :)
