We had a plan for the weekend. Mom, Hubby, and I were going to drive to Fayetteville, drop the cat off, and head up to Branson for the wedding of one mom's fellow teachers, and one of my former fellow teachers. This morning, we were going to get up drive back to Fayetteville and spend the rest of the weekend here relaxing. On Sunday, we were going to go to church and to see Beauty and the Beast at the Walton Arts Center. The end.
However, while driving to Branson from Fayetteville, I got a sinking feeling. I didn't remember grabbing the tickets for Beauty and the Beast before leaving Greenbrier. I didn't say anything about it for the rest of the ride. I got up the nerve to break the news to Mike first. He thought he remembered seeing them on the table that morning. I knew for sure, then, that I would be driving my happy self back to Greenbrier to pick up the tickets because I knew I had packed everything the night before. Then, I told mom. I tried to be funny about it, "Mom, you'll never guess what I did," was the spin I tried to put on the story. We resigned ourselves to the fact we would be making an extra trip to pick up the tickets. We went on about our night and enjoyed the wedding.
We got back to Fayetteville and were having lunch today when I decided I would try to call to see if I could just get new tickets. I was prepared to beg, plead, and pay extra to not have to drive 5 hours round-trip. The lady on the phone was very understanding and said it would be no problem to print new tickets for me. All I needed was my photo ID. Yay!!!!
As soon as we got home, I looked through everything I brought back. Wouldn't you know it, the last thing I saw was the envelope with the tickets in it!!! I swear I don't remember packing them. If my head wasn't attached to my body, I would constantly be losing it. There was no harm done, just a lot of worry over a big, fat nothing. That's just my luck!
